De-ja Vu: A Slap in the Face, Once Again
Harvinder Singh is haunting Congress Party. The gentleman who slapped Sharad Pawar and Sukh Ram for rampant corruption has now appeared in a new avatar: the people of India. The people of India have slapped Congress, Rahul, Priyanka and Sonia in the face with their verdict in 2012 Uttar Pradesh state election.
Nothing personal here. People do not like the fascist and corrupt dictatorship in the centre. It is a dictatorship of “high command”. A “high command” which is foreign to this soil and is embedded by persons that have doubtful loyalty to this country. It is a “high command” which dictates policies that are in favour of foreigners and are exploitative of Indian people. These nefarious policies are called, ironically, “much needed economic reforms”, and these are always to be pushed fast: pushed down the throats of protesting Indians. Blatant loot of Indian national resources, be it 2G spectrum, precious iron-ore mines or strategic oil exploration sites, is being conducted in a brazen manner, even in the face of wide-spread public resentment and protests, and in contravention to Supreme Court decisions.
It is now being scandalously claimed that this loot is an “executive privilege” and cannot be reversed by the Supreme Court. Our honest but feckless Prime Minister seems to be a hapless spectator, a modern day Bhishma Pitamah, while our nation is being stripped naked. Corrupt media is busy singing paeans about the so called (but non-existent) “exceptional leadership qualities” of dodos that are born in a family that has links to a family that descended from a family that made some “sacrifices” in freedom struggle. Nothing special there. It was a struggle in which most Indians made huge sacrifices. Lakhs of people have sacrified everything, over centuries, to make this nation great. These sacrifices are spontaneous expression of intense love for one’s nation and its people. One never claims any benefits out of such nobel sacrifices.
However, this elite coterie, and their underlings, have pawned these “sacrifices” for “compensatory” looting of billions from this country over the last seven decades. Whatever “sacrifice” was made by one person in a family long ago has been totally eroded by continuous bleeding of this nation by the so called descendents.
People are now awake. By their mandate they have declared that this treachery will no longer be tolerated. It is high time that the dictators fly out with their stolen billions and antiques before their worldwide assets get frozen, a la Egypt. Their foreign passports will come in handy in this “great escape”. Soon it will be too late. Tihar Jail will need a new wing then.
