In a case of immediate retribution, the mother of a five-year-old allegedly killed a man for raping her daughter. After seeing her daughter in pain on Saturday, the woman – in her mid-30s – killed Arjun Tamba, 30, at Hatiya on Sunday.
This reminds one of immediate justice which was the law of the land before the Britishers imposed their “rule of law” in early nineteenth century. The Indian Penal Code was mainly drafted by Thomas Babington Macaulay (1800 –1859) and enforced by Britishers immediately after they re-captured India after the First War of Independence of 1857 with the help of traitors like Maharaja of Patiala, Scindia and others. Macaulay is notorious for destruction of traditional Gurukul-based education system of India. The so called “modern” education system introduced by him is based on Western value system and has been identified as one of the main causes of widespread moral degradation reflected in the rape of the five year old child.
The mother has been arrested under Indian Penal Code (1860) a “gift” of Macaulay again. In olden times she would have been widely acclaimed and considered a brave mother.
